You and your colleagues are invited to join the Council for a new Innovation workshop entitled 'Increase the innovation content in your products and lower your development costs through advanced purchasing.' to take place on December 19 in Shanghai. The workshop will start with a lunch, then followed by a group discussion around the following topic:

In recent years there has been a veritable explosion in the availability of new materials, new technologies and in the potential sophistication of electronic interfaces. In spite of this new landscape so full of innovation opportunities, the innovation content in new products and the number of truly innovative products remain astonishingly low. At the same time, many technologies that would be feasible in new contexts remain yet to be commercialized and existing technologies that potentially have a great many applications outside their original industries remain unused.The cost of product innovation can be much lower than previously thought and the timing faster.

Host &Speaker: Viktor Arak, Founder Damien Industrial

Viktor Arak recently founded the company Damien Industrial, specialized in providing innovation solutions for product development projects for industrial companies. Until recently, Viktor served as Business Category Director for Electrolux�s refrigerator and washing machine product lines in China, including responsibility for product strategy, product development and overall responsibility for the P&L of the product lines. His previous assignments include responsibility for Electrolux�s OEM/ODM sourcing in Greater China and Korea, Deputy Sales Director for Electrolux China, and AB Electrolux�s Group Legal Counsel for Asia.

Why our workgroups are different?
- This workgroup series is also organized in an "informal" setting (e.g. selected quiet restaurants) where good food (and drinks) tend to foster discussion and openness between participants.
