One of the masterpieces of modern architecture, the fantastic Hangzhou Bay Bridge opened Friday May 2, 2008 to the public. It is the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world - 36 kilometers long - and shortens the distance between Shanghai and Ningbo by 120 km in 2.5 hours driving.

The Council is pleased to invite you to the new Supply Chain Road Show to Ningbo on Dec. 16-17, 2008.

During the two-day tour, we will cross the new bridge to visit two modern and ecological industry parks, Ningbo Economic & technical Development Zone (NETD) and Cixi Economic Development Zone. The visits will include Geely Auto plant, Maersk Logistics Warehouse, Beilun Port, Fotile Kitchen Ware etc. And the first Supply Chain Networking Mixer is ready to go on Nov.20 at night; this is your chance to network with other supply chain professionals and learn how they work successfully.

Ningbo Economic & technical Development Zone located on the northeast of the city and alongside Ningbo Beilun Port, played a role as an important component of North-east Asia international shipping center, an important manufacturing base in east China, regional logistic center and a modern coastal new city.

Facing the Hangzhou Bay to its north, Cixi Economic Development Zone is located in the northern area of Ningbo, Zhejiang province. By the year of 2007, about 230 foreign-funded companies have been introduced in the zone, including such Fortune 500 companies and multi-national companies as Korean Sk, American Cooper. American Prologis. The zone is planned to be, by the year of 2020, not only a manufacturing and research base, but will also inhabit a community of 500,000 people.

Zhejiang Geely Automobile located in the four major international transit port of China, Ningbo Beilun Port. Geely Ningbo plant is one of the seven manufacturing plants the company has in China, making it the biggest private automobile production and sales enterprise with total assets valued at more than RMB 9 billion.

Ningbo Blue Dragon Logistics (50% owned by Maersk Logistics) is registered in Ningbo Economic and Technical Development Zone owning a piece of land of 146 mu(96360 sqm) which has been developed into a new dimensional rack storage of warehouse with 25,000 square meters,and with modern design allow for all weather cargo operations,plus 50000 square metres of container depot equipped with repairing facilities.

Beilun Port, closely connected to NETD, is a famous international deepwater key route port, an important component of Shanghai international shipping center, as well as a major container terminal in the east of China. As the largest composition of Ningbo Port, Beilun port has 150 square km of water area with water depth up to 50 meters, and the smallest width of the channel is above 700 meters.

Ningbo Hicon Industry Co., Ltd. , a special air-conditioner expert and a special central air-conditioner manufacturer, specializes in R&D, design, manufacture and sale of special air-conditioner and central air-conditioner. We are located in Yuyao city, with a site area of more than 160mu. Total assets reach RMB 280 million. Now we employs more than 650 people, including 118 senior technicians and managers.

Cooper Nature (Ningbo) Electric is the 7th  joint enterprise that Cooper Industries founded in China. It is located in Zhejiang Cixi Export Processing Zone (Hangzhou Bay New District) on the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta.
