Speaker: .Details for "North Vietnam Supply Chain Roadshow" On May 29, 2008, it was decided that Ha Tay province, Vinh Phuc's Me Linh district and 3 communes of Luong Son district, Hoa Binh had been merged into the metropolitan area of Hanoi from August 1 2008. Hanoi's total area will be increased three times to 334,470 hectares divided into 29 subdivisions. The new population is 6,232,940 and constantly growing about 3,5% per year, a reflection of the fact that the city is both a major metropolitan area of Northern Vietnam, and also the country's political centre.Industrial parks in Hanoi have been attracted US$162M for the 1st 6 months of 2008 (27% increased in comparison with 2007). Hanoi also attracts lots of hi-tech and heavy industry investment for manufacturing. Is Hanoi catching up with Ho Chi Minh City and becoming more attractive to manufacturers and investors in North East Asia? Can Hanoi be an alternative sourcing option and logistics hub for North East Asia? The program will provide an opportunity for an edutourism experience for participants who are interested in learning some of key lessons from the North Vietnam's market. The tour will include presentations, discussions and visits of the most interesting facilities in Hanoi region. Join a selected group of senior executives in this mission to Vietnam to: - learn the latest about north Vietnam supply chain and logistics; - visit key manufacturing, logistics and retail facilities and formats; - gain experiences from local and foreign companies already operating in Vietnam. Itinerary:During this trip, we will organize a full range of activities including sites visits, business forum, roundtable discussion, cocktail networking party and visits of interesting manufacturing and logistics facilities.
