Details for "Apparel & Fashion Supply Chain Workgroup"
You and your colleagues are invited for a new workgroup discussion on supply chain management in the fashion and apparel sector on Oct. 17, 2008 in Shanghai.By sharing experiences, best practices, market knowledge, common issues and other key topics (e.g. regulations, IP, etc.), this new workgroup is designed to help supply chain, logistics and procurement professionals working for apparel and luxury manufacturers to learn from each other and accelerate the growth of supply chain management in the apparel and retail sector in China.
The objective of this new workgroup series is:
- foster and promote interchange of ideas and cooperation between the apparel brands themselves but also between the manufacturers and their first and second tiers suppliers in China;
- disseminate information of interest and benefit to its members on subjects such as logistics, transportation and warehousing best practices in China;
- foster ethical supply management practices in the fashion and luxury sector;
- encourage the institution of activities and events for the practical training of supply chain management professionals;
- strive by all legitimate means to advance the supply management profession in the fashion sector.
Why our workgroups are different?
- Unlike committees organized by the Chambers of Commerce, this workgroup series is strictly restricted to supply chain, logistics and procurement from the fashion sector. Any vendors like bankers, headhunters, 3PLs, freight forwarders, IT/software or consultants are not allowed in these discussions.
- This workgroup series is also organized in an "informal" setting (e.g. selected quiet restaurants) as good food (and drinks) tend to foster discussion and "openness" between the participants.

Please note that this workgroup is strictly reserved to supply chain, procurement, sourcing and logistics fashion, apparel and textile executives. Any vendors like bankers, headhunters, 3PLs, freight forwarders, IT/software or consultants are not allowed in this workgroup discussion and will be rejected at the door.

He has 6 years experience in Luxury fashion business with strong focus in manufacturing of men’s formalwear and accessories for man and women. He has been Chief Operations Officer of Mantero Seta SpA for 5 years and today lives in China (Wenzhou), with the appointment of General Manager and Export Sales Director in SharMoon / E Z Garments Ltd.
