You and your colleagues are invited to join the Council for a new workgroup discussion on logistics, transportation and freight forwarding at the next 3PLs Luncheon on Aug. 29, 2008 in Shanghai.

This workgroup aims again to provide a platform and an opportunity for senior logistics and freight professionals to get to know each other, network, share operational experiences and think on how to cooperate and work with each other to increase efficiencies in China's logistics sector.

Biography

Building a leading position in the China transport market

The presentation will cover what TNT is doing to carve out a sustainable business here in China and provide insight into why we believe it will be successful. It will be include some of the key structure challenges to be overcome and how TNT is investing in specific areas of our business.

Michael Drake has full responsibility for markets in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He has more than 20 years of experience in the express and logistics industry spanning across Asia, Europe and the USA. During his time with TNT he has driven several initiatives, these include the launching of the TNT Asia Road Network, completing the acquisition of Tiandi-Hoau (largest private transportation company in China) and achieving a market leading position for TNT in the Life Sciences sector. Michael is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and the Young Presidents Organisation. He is 44 years old and has an MBA from State University of New York.
