Event Description

You and your colleagues are invited to join the Council for a new Pharmaceutical Procurement Workgroup on August 25 in Shanghai.

The discussion will start with a networking lunch, then be followed by a closed-door meeting covering the following issues and various points:

Final Agenda:

1. Survey of Workgroup members - purpose, approach, timing. Suggestion for discussion.
2. Logistics/Business Restrictions during Beijing Olympics - Learnings from Experience
3. Heparin Case Review and Establishment of US-FDA Representation in China-Learnings from Experience.

Why our workgroups are different?
- Unlike committees organized by the Chambers of Commerce, this workgroup series is strictly restricted to supply chain, logistics and procurement from the pharmaceutical sector.
- This workgroup series is also organized in an "informal" setting (e.g. selected quiet restaurants) as good food (and drinks) tend to foster discussion and "openness" between the participants.

Please note that this workgroup is strictly reserved to pharmaceutical industry executives. Any vendors like bankers, headhunters, 3PLs, freight forwarders, IT/software or consultants are not allowed in this workgroup discussion and will be rejected at the door.

Date: August 25, 2008
Time: 12:15 noon to pm 3 in the afternoon
Venue: to be confirmed. In order to protect the discussion from vendors or consultants interference, registered delegates will be informed on the exact location one day before the event.
Price: Pay what you order, set lunch usually about 100 RMB.

Lot many projects start from North America which have sourcing requirements of China & India. Bringing suppliers together from both countries need an effort within a short time. Need to create a platform.
