Tuesday, September 18 Schedule:  2:30pm: Guests' arrival at Terminal 4, Tower 1, Ground floor reception 2:35pm: Part 1-Reception at Visitors' Centre on 12th Floor, Tower 1 Corporate Information Introduction; Introduction of Kwai Tsing Container Port; Introduction of HPH Worldwide 3:15pm: Part 2-Tour to Control Tower, 7th Floor, Tower 2  Multi-media presentation on n-Gen, HIT Terminal Management System 3:25pm: Part 3-Yard Tour Tour in HIT vehicle to the container yard of HIT container terminals 3:50pm: Terminal visit ends.  Departure

HIT operates Container Terminals 4, 6, 7, 9 and 8 East (joint-venture with COSCO) at the Kwai Chung Container Port. A continuous quay length of over five km provides for 14 ship berths and up to nine barge berths served by 52 quay cranes (capable of handling the latest container vessels) and four rail-mounted jib cranes and one harbour crane. Adjacent container storage is handled by 24 rail-mounted gantry cranes and 140 rubber-tyred gantry cranes.

Fee: RMB 200 (or US$ 30) to the Council members, RMB 300 (or US$ 45) to non-members. Fee includes refreshments throughout the visit.
